RMF DJ’s is thrilled to announce the addition of Kathleen Monson to our team. A certified professional musical talent, Kathleen is an accomplished soprano singer on the Broadway circuit, most recently featured in the Chicago Summer Concert Series.
Despite the world-stopping climate that the pandemic brought to recent years, she didn’t flinch in the face of adversity. As several planned events for her were canceled, such as performances with The Palm Beach Opera, The Bristol Cathedral, and the Virginia Baroque Academy, Monson adapted as all performers must.
Kathleen capitalized on this time, using the uncertainty for creativity and virtual concert opportunities, including An Evening of Classical Music, Night of Italian Opera and more. Additionally she performed Roselinde in KJR Studios virtual production of Die Fledermaus.
She performed the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi with NOIO in 2019, and toured in New York, North Carolina, and Illinois with her well-known ensemble “Canto Zenzero, The Singing Gingers.”
In 2018, Kathleen sang the role of Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Princeton Festival under the direction of Richard Tang Yuk, as well as being a featured soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria with the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church choir. Kathleen was recognized as an Emerging Artist in Residence with Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and in 2017, was invited as a vocal fellow to Opernfest Prague under the direction of Maestro Richard Hein.
Now at RMF, Kathleen’s years of experience in professional and international performances is invaluable and will only continue to help our wedding professionals make more couples’ dreams come true. She’s proven knows what it takes to create a memorable performance and leave an impression through an event, and is the perfect addition to our team.
