Dave Francis is an accomplished performer, arranger, composer, teacher, and veteran of many wedding gigs. He has worked for the past 15 years as one of Missoula's most sought-after guitar teachers. "Teaching affords me the opportunity to relate to and interact with hundreds of different musicians. I usually gain as much insight into the artistry of music as my students do, and playing guitar all day for a living keeps my skills sharp".
In addition and in conjunction with his work as a teacher Dave also works with several music publication companies as an arranger of popular music. "The idea is to take a song and break down its essence. Melody, percussion, bass, chord harmonies, and groove are all considered. The fun, and challenge inherent to this process is discovering how to simultaneously combine all of these elements onto a single instrument". This process has made him very comfortable with imagining customized playlists for events and delivering performances of songs that haven't been introduced to the world yet.
